My heart, Where are you ? Love is looking for you !

Once, I was thinking how to share my thoughts with my heart; people usually do when they are upset or feel sad and moreover, it’s free of cost.

But suddenly one question came into my mind where should I look, right side or left side of chest. I have seen in movies that actors usually touch the left side and feel it. I don’t believe it, so lets investigate.

As per Medical Science, heart is located in the middle of thorax (part of body between neck and abdomen) with slightly offset to the left.

That’s fine but then why heart beat(Dhak-Dhak) in left part of the body? It might be due to the slight left-ward lean why people often assume the heart is on the left side. The other reason is , the left ventricle of the heart pumps more aggressively than the right because it pumps to all body parts.

We have often seen heart symbol on cards &candy box in stylized shape. And too with red color isn’t surprising.

In European traditional art, heart shape is in artificial shape with red colour of blood and, in many cultures, it shows passion and strong emotion. The hearts have constituted, since the 15th century, one of the red suits in most playing card decks.

One question always made me wonder. Why LOVE is always related to the Heart???
According to some historians, the heart-shaped symbol that represents love and adoration has been here since the existence of man. Another reason is heart shape is recall a male reproductive organ or can also depict the human female body. I assume this might be the correct reason as Love and sex always walk together. ;)
