Have you ever wondered why we do yawn? We all do it when we tired but do we know the reason?Researchers haven’t figured out the solution yet however lots of Myth or we can say man made theories are present in market, with little proof.
1.The very basic is we do it when we are tired
or feel lack of Oxygen in our body. It’s not based on any facts but some
doctors feel such deep breathing helps keep the lungs healthy. "Yawning
would be like a homeostatic response to not breathing deeply".
2.The most
recent theory on yawning concludes that it exists to cool down the brain. That
open-mouthed yawn causes sinus walls to expand and contract like a roars, pumping air onto the brain, which lowers its temperature," reported by National
Geographic channel.
3. Here is another and it’s true
according to me. One study found that when shown videos of yawning, around 50 % of people also began yawning. Studies proof, it
also happens among animals!.So here we can say, yawning can activate
others to do the same.
Now question arise in my mind how come other people feel tired one by one or feel lack of oxygen. Funny !
4. Might be serious: Yawning may be happening because of Sickness
Excessive intake of any thing is dangerous to our body so same theory applies here, excessive yawning can be a signal that there's something wrong. It might be a heart problem caused by Vagus nerve according to the National Institutes of Health.
